It’s important to be objective in politics, a responsibility to bring a measured response or point of view to the table. Further to our call for de-escalation in the Middle East; to return to dialogue and diplomacy, the threat to innocent civilians cannot be ignored. A collective posture of self defence is needed to create channels of rescue, prevent collateral damage; civilian casualties, and loss of civilian lives.

Our response to the U.K. government’s welcome, yet late decision to recognise Palestine. We urge immediate action and coordination with other states who have recognised the state of Palestine, to end the genocide and save lives.

Today we are waking to the news that Pope Francis has passed away. He will be remembered as the ‘The People’s Pope’, his smile of joy was synonymous with his vigour for hope, for compassion, peace, equality and social justice, as he stood up for those poorest and most vulnerable; placing him as the most progressive Pope for generations.
